ISTAR Division

Introduction

Elbit Systems’ ISTAR Division is a premier provider of integrated end-to-end Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) solutions. Our solutions cover the wide-ranging intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) spectrum, supporting the entire intelligence cycle with advanced security solutions for military, paramilitary and homeland security (HLS) needs.

The Division is divided into two main groups: electro-optics (EO) and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). These solutions and tools cover the full range of ISTAR missions, from intelligence gathering by reconnaissance and surveillance through target detection, tracking and precise location and designation.
Our commitment to customer satisfaction is the driving force behind our efforts to meet today’s most challenging operational scenarios. We pride ourselves on providing customers with the optimal solutions for intelligence gathering, data exploitation and dissemination, force protection, target acquisition and fire control, as well as other security-related applications.

The ISTAR Division has a rich heritage of successful projects in all its areas of expertise for leading military forces worldwide, including the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and U.S. Armed Forces , and works in close cooperation with many of the leading defense and HLS companies worldwide. With end-to-end in-house capabilities, the ISTAR Division is well equipped to meet customer’ requirements while providing reliable, on-time and on-budget solutions.

Elbit Systems’ power of vision has generated a product and system level portfolio that includes some of the most advanced electro-optics (EO)-based solutions on the market today. Part of Elbit Systems’ ISTAR Division, our EO solutions are designed for space, airborne, ground and maritime applications, providing customers an advantage in facing the evolving challenges on the battlefield and on the home front.

Systems range from direct infrared countermeasure (DIRCM) systems for the protection of aircraft to payloads for space, airborne, naval and land-based missions, to head up displays (HUD) and advanced target acquisition systems (TAS), as well as laser, thermal imaging (TI) systems, HLS solutions, ground integrated sights and I2 night vision systems for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR).
